In their “Comics You May Have Missed” article, Kurt Amacker remarks at the level of depth in City of Dust: A Philip Khrome Story. Below is an excerpt from Kurt’s article.
“What emerges invokes Niles’s greatest strengths as a writer and presents a thoughtful and original twist on some of the genre tropes he clearly loves. Yes, the classic monsters we all know have an important role to play in this narrative. But they emerge in a manner consistent with the story’s setting and complementary of its intentions. This represents another great effort by Radical Publishing, who won Diamond’s Gem Award for Best New Publisher last year. Though Radical already has a few of [its] properties in development in Hollywood, it hasn’t lost sight of comics.”
