#3 is the last volume in the Time Bomb series by the team of Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray with pencils by Paul Gulary. Important lesson learned from this issue: don’t mess with time machines and trap yourself in Nazi Germany unless you bring along all your cool tech from your present time zone or you will be screwed.
The writers have a lot of fun playing with the “what if”s like they always do. Lots of characters from different times with different motives are always interesting to watch. Bring chicks, nudity, and Hitler into the mix and you are down for a good ole time! Our heroes can’t stay uncaught by the Germans and spend most of this last issue either being caught or trying to save others who got caught. I imagine its best when you are trying to purposely stay in your enemies’ face to diffuse a weapon to be close to the weapon at all times, whether you have your freedom or not. What’s that they say about keeping your enemies closer?
Tons of action make this a constantly well timed and quickly moving story. It goes well for the Radical format of no advertisements to break the action up and make a lot less pages for the authors and the pencils to tell the story. There are a few surprises along the way which make this action time traveling fantasy well worth checking out.
