Radical Pictures develops and produces live-action motion pictures with a primary focus of establishing the Radical brand and logo in filmed entertainment. The Company has feature film agreements with third-party studios to distribute several Radical films including Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman and Melissa Leo with Universal Pictures. Joseph Kosinski (the highest grossing first-time director of TRON: Legacy which has grossed $400 million) is directing Oblivion based on a screenplay by Academy Award winning writer William Monahan (The Departed) and Karl Gajdusek. Oblivion began production on March 15, 2012 and is set for release in theaters on April 26, 2013.
The Company has established a production and distribution rights agreement for one of its most popular titles; Hercules. Hercules stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and is directed by Brett Ratner (x-Men) with a scheduled Fall 2012 production start date through MGM Pictures.
Radical has established an independent film financing agreement with IM Global for its award winning Last Days of American Crime. The film is scheduled for production in Q1 2013.
Radical Pictures has established a direct to consumer film partnership agreement with Anderson Merchandisers to distribute Radical’s small budget films through Target, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Best Buy and Costco.
Other Radical properties which have been licensed by major motion picture companies include: Earp: Saints for Sinners, set up with DreamWorks with Sam Raimi (Spider-Man trilogy) attached to direct; Mata Hari, set up with Warner Bros. with co-producing services by Scott Rudin (Social Network, True Grit); Hotwire, set up with Fox with co-producing services by John Davis (Predator, and I, Robot); Freedom Formula, set up at New Regency with Bryan Singer (X-Men, Superman Returns) attached to direct; and Aladdin set up at Relativity Pictures.
